About the Event
We are fortunate to welcome guest speaker Norma Frankoff, Director of Programs and Organizational Development at Wellwood.
Norma brings over 20 years of experience in the not-for-profit sector where she is highly regarded for her knowledge and leadership related to volunteer management, program and organizational development, community engagement and relationship-building.
In this talk Norma will:
- speak about why setting boundaries is necessary when working with volunteers and clients/community members/patients
- address the importance of being proactive in setting guidelines with volunteers and how to deal with situations where boundaries have been crossed
- provide tools/resources you can use after the session
- have plenty of time to address your questions
The event is FREE for current HAV members.
Also, International Volunteer Manager’s Day takes place annually on November 5, so we will be taking a few moments at the end of the session to acknowledge all of you for the commitment you make to the profession and what you contribute not only to your own organizations, but our communities as a whole.
We hope you can join us!
